Good spot for a quick fish diner, nothing fancy. Reasonable prices and rapid service. No alcohol is served and electronic payment is not possible.

They have a dedicated fryer for GLUTEN FREE!! Fantastic made my holiday! Portion sizes are fantastic and the girl serving even said she was sorry but she couldnt offer me vinegar as it was not gluten free so she knew what was safe and what wasnt without asking any other staff member ImImpressed! The Gluten Free chips were stunning Id go back in a heart beat, hubby isnt gluten free so he had regular chips and he said they were really good as well. I cant praise Oban Bay enough, I found them by typing in Gluten Free Chips Oban into google maps and they were the only one whoCame up! Impressed!
We are glad that we picked this restaurant.we stayed in Oban for 2 hours for lunch break. Some were closed since it was 3pm but this one was open.we tried salmon with dill creamy sauce with lemon and it was fantastic plus another dish i dont remember its name but was good too.The bad thing was the seats. weren't comfy and the table was shaking.
Went in on a whim and really impressed! Food was really fresh and delicious (especially the squid!)We sat in, and the service was great, as we didn't wait long to be seen, and we didn't need to wait long. Also they don't fuss over you through your meal (something that can annoy me). Will be back next time I'm in Oban!
