After a very long drive. The site was quiet, spectacular views, on site shop good for basics. Showers and toilets cleaned daily to a good standard. Would recommend.
Good spot for camping in Oban, quite a walk from the town though (about 50 minutes) and only a single shower in the guys toilets (not much of a problem when I went but might be more of an issue in peak season). The owners are friendly and the campsite is nice and clean, very reasonably priced and was used as a good base before heading to the islands.
Views are nice from the statics. Caravan have heaters in each room which is great. Good location, about an hours walk (if taking it steady) to town. People do get taxis.
A very pleasant well kept site. Flat tent areas and only a few paces away from the coast. Toilet / shower blocks kept clean. Not far from Oban if you need the town. Maybe a bit too close to the pub....we had a drunk family keeping us up at 2am.
I would have given this site 5 stars as is s yearly visit practically. Years ago some 14 years been on-site for 3 to 5 days laterally and more recently once every other year. Come on guys !! Been NO upgrade to toilets or dish washing area...for 15 Years!! We are up and down the country every year various regular sites in fort William etc. Need to sort the amenities out as well as the unkempt looking log cabins which stole gab viewpoints for decades of caravans and vans alike. Love the viewpoint and area but not quite as tidy as used to be years ago..needs some TLC
