The famous Skipinnish Ceilidh house has changed management and name. Style has changed little so far and the view is identical. It's is a fine party house whether it is "club action" or the traditional Highland Ceilidh you seek this is Oban's entertainment centre. The new management plan concert business too and it will host weddings and other events too. We visited for the annual race night celebrating another successful year for the Scottish National Party. We were well looked after and our event was unhurried despite a Ceilidh dance following on.
Ceilidh was excellent...club night, not so much
Fantastic to watch and learn some Scottish dancing. Turns into a night club after hours, which is cool for a very small town
Went for Ceidlih dance from 9 to 11pm on a Thursday, it's one of the best fun I have! It's disco after 11pm til 1.30am. Good place to have a night out on a Thursday.
Its a good venue for ceilidhs although at the weekend when it transforms into a club its more like a sweaty sauna with a swimming pool in the centre :')
