They tried to scam me at check-in because i payed before check-in time. then when i caught them at it they switched my room. i payed for the sea view room with a bathtub. they gave me a room with a shower and i was staring at the trees in the back. then when i found another place to stay and got a refund they only refunded half the nights when i only slept there 1. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE! and i stayed at a place were the sewage didn't work or anything and the pool with it was filthy and made everyone sick after the swim.
Not good choice if you're gonna stay there with your dog. They charge 12 per dog per night. We staid for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. Have been charged for my dogs over 70. Nothing like dogs beds or bowls were provided for that price.
Clean, tidy and quiet rooms and very helpful and friendly staff. Great menu for dinner and breakfast (can recommend the full Scottish as well as the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs!). Amazing views of the bay and Kerrera from the sitting room with the addition of a warm fire to sit at on those cold winter nights. The bar stocks a nice selection of local beers and Whisky. Have stayed multiple times and will definitely be going back.
What the hotel lacks in refinements easily made up with the staff. The rooms are tired they need a full refurbishment. The corridors do smell musty & definitely smell of cigarette smoke. The public area is better but still looks tired. However.... the staff are so helpful, polite & professional. The hotel allowed dogs, and how fantastic is the reception for our four legged friends!!! Dog treats behind reception, they can go in the bar area where you can get decent food. Breakfast will be served in the lounge at request so dogs can stay with you. They cant go in the dining room but thats fair enough. I would stay again not because of the building but because of the staff & the treatment our dogs received.
Beautiful lounge that looks right into the bay. Afternoon tea was great. Breakfast disappointing, especially for the price, and service was slow. But on the whole, service was very accommodating. Rooms utilitarian, but comfortable. Lounge makes it.
