Ignore the poor reviews, simply unfounded! Took my wife here and we were not dissapointed, great menu choices, from local seafood to scottish classics and a bit of everything else! Good selection of drinks for every taste too. Portion sizes are more than generous and the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. One of the few places that actually serves a steak blue when asked for too!

Definitely my favourite place to be in Scotland!Waiters were all very nice as well as folks eating there. I was there for my first trip to Scotland and there I also tried for the first time some haggis... A great experience!I highly recommend this place and the Haggis burger alongside a pint of Guinness! Prices are fine and there is all kind of food here. Plus, Oban is just such a nice place so I really enjoyed my stay there.
I actually have to amend this review, and sadly it is not for the better. We ate here two nights in a row, and the second was worse than the first. The upside is that the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is great. But the kitchen is disorganized, and needs to get it together. Last night our dinner order was "lost" and our main courses did not arrive for quite some time. They were tasty and good portions, and we figured hey, things happen. We liked the food enough to go again tonight...and this time I watched as other diners ordered their mains, were served and paid the check while we were still waiting to eat. Again we were told that somehow our order was lost. Shame really because the waitstaff is great, and once your food arrives it is very good. But i do not want to wait an hour to eat after irdering.
Delicious freshly cooked food, great atmosphere and attentive and friendly staff. Back tomorrow to try scallops for the first time. Had the seafood enchilada and my fiance had mussels. They were all fresh and tasty. Well worth a visit (or two)
