Room wasn't clean. Breakfast was okay but there was no Scottish breakfast. Bed was good, shower wasn't warm enough. It's a 5 min walk to the center of Oban.
From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Moira, our double room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, 2 easy chairs and a lovely shower en suite. The room was very clean with good bedding etc (the only thing if I were being picky, it would be good to have bigger towels). Off road parking for guests, the absolute perfect location, couple of minutes walk to distillery, and about five minutes or less to the Bay,and all the wonderful restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend...
We stayed in the room with twin beds and the whole room seemed to need a facelift. BUT the beds were comfortable and we had self service breakfast in the dining area the next morning.
We had a very skimpy greeting only mentioning breakfast hours and no one around to ask questions about location. Bed was poor, room clean but maintenance was lacking . We were surprised that no none was in attendance at breakfast, just a generous self-serve continental spread. Parking was nice and location was close to harbour and city centre as we discovered.
Superbly located for a 3 night stay. Everything a short walk away -- Oban Distillery, restaurants Cuan Mawr, Coast, and Ee Usk. Rooms are dead quiet. Bathroom is sparkling clean and water pressure for shower is very good. Coffee at breakfast is good with the option of making your own press pot coffee. Lots of choices for other food. Would happily book again.
